Hyper Nonsense is (finally) back! And Jen’s on the show, too! Tho, she didn’t necessarily get to talk much. We started the show by reading about a new sleep medication Shawn is taking. Sleep eating. Sleepwalking. Sleep motorcycling? They’re all coming. Then, Shawn recapped his recent trip to Podcast Movement in Anaheim (which he has many thoughts/feelings about). Jen is participating in Inktober. That’s a thing where art nerds draw stuff and put those drawings on the ‘net. We finished out the show with a thank-you to our former Patreon backers, as we’ve decided to close our Patreon account. (Don’t worry. The show isn’t ending.)
It’s an entirely different kind of Hyper Nonsense episode. This week, we recorded in the car on our way to Sycamore Mineral Springs resort in Avila Beach, CA. Then, we recorded some more from our hotel suite at the resort. We talked about how we decided to take this short trip to see if it might help with Jen’s ongoing allergy-driven sickness.
Welcome to the latest installment of Hyper Nonsense: The pod you trust ™. I’m sorry to say that this is a solo show. Jen was away in Nappy Boos Land and things have been really busy lately, so I decided to get a show out because quantity really does come before quality here at Hyper Nonsense. This show is mostly about first-world problems. I’m fat! I need to lose weight and none of the systems I’ve tried are helping. I’m wondering what type of app/service to try next, or if there’s even a point. Jen’s on state-sponsored health insurance right now and it’s been kinda surprising to see how good the coverage is. I also talked about how I’m considering getting back into the iPhone game but I’m not really sure about it. Then, I finished the show off with a news article about an ornery groundhog.
We’re Yosemite’ing it on today’s episode! Sometimes, audio mixers are complicated and the buttons don’t always work like you’d expect (and we spend way too much time breaking down why). We’ve officially changed our format to a tech show. We hope you enjoy all of the Apple talk! We have (not much of) an update on our legal situation. We cover the saga of a defective air purifier we recently purchased. Also, after installing an aerial TV antenna, we’ve got a whopping 17 channels. Now we’re constantly distracted by TV shows. We finished the show with a news item about a haunted house with a real, scary dead guy.
Man, we’re getting old. Don’t believe us? Just listen to this pod! We spent a lot of time talking about toothbrushes and shopping coupons. Still don’t believe us? We also talked about new bedroom curtains! Some of this old-person talk is relative to the new business we’re launching, but some of it’s just because we’re old. Last week was Independence Day here in ‘Merica. We’ve got some explosive news related to that, as well as an analysis of the country’s favorite 4th of July jams. Also, we read some iTunes reviews and go over a little bit of other listener feedback. And MmmPasta Syndrome.
