It’s the exciting return of Dish cast! I recorded the 21st episode of NaPodPoMo 2015 using a Bluetooth headset that I normally wear when listening to podcasts on my iPhone. So, the sound quality kinda sucks.
Welcome to the latest installment of Hyper Nonsense: The pod you trust ™. I’m sorry to say that this is a solo show. Jen was away in Nappy Boos Land and things have been really busy lately, so I decided to get a show out because quantity really does come before quality here at Hyper Nonsense. This show is mostly about first-world problems. I’m fat! I need to lose weight and none of the systems I’ve tried are helping. I’m wondering what type of app/service to try next, or if there’s even a point. Jen’s on state-sponsored health insurance right now and it’s been kinda surprising to see how good the coverage is. I also talked about how I’m considering getting back into the iPhone game but I’m not really sure about it. Then, I finished the show off with a news article about an ornery groundhog.
We’re Yosemite’ing it on today’s episode! Sometimes, audio mixers are complicated and the buttons don’t always work like you’d expect (and we spend way too much time breaking down why). We’ve officially changed our format to a tech show. We hope you enjoy all of the Apple talk! We have (not much of) an update on our legal situation. We cover the saga of a defective air purifier we recently purchased. Also, after installing an aerial TV antenna, we’ve got a whopping 17 channels. Now we’re constantly distracted by TV shows. We finished the show with a news item about a haunted house with a real, scary dead guy.
It’s hot! So hot we had to abandon our usual recording studio for the (almost) comfortable confines of another room that had some leftover A-C in the air. It’s been an interesting (i.e. frustrating) week for us in terms of technology. But the good news is that Jen has room again on her MacBook Air hard drive! Apple dropped an iOS update and broke everything. The weirdness with fraudulent activity on our bank account continues. This time in the form of an unexpected credit. Also, Bluetooth pairing has become the most complicated thing computers do now. We read an iTunes review and then that was pretty much it.
We’re as live as we wanna be on our latest pod! Find out what our loud neighbors are now doing loudly. We have an update on Jen’s claim for disability benefits. We’re going thru some legal things right now that we’re not talking about. Hear about Jen’s most recent adventures in Sleepy Boos Land. Some lucky person went on a fancy clothes and fine fragrances shopping spree with our debit card. Hear my review of the iPhone 6 Plus. We read some listener feedback (including iTunes reviews!). We covered a news article about how Joan Rivers is endorsing the new iPhone from the other side. And more!
Just in time for this week to not be over, it’s our latest podisode! We recount our (mostly uneventful) memories of the September 11th attacks, including the fact that we moved in together that week. We give our thoughts on the big Apple shindig (and its seriously buggy live stream) that went down earlier this week. (iPhone 6? Apple Watch? Meh…) Hear about our exciting adventure in troubleshooting a leaky faucet! And then… scanning and shredding 21 months worth of documents! We also went over some listener feedback and talk about how a disappointed billionaire won’t be able to carve California into six individual states. And more!
