Hyper Nonsense is back! And just in time for Christmas. Speaking of which, Jen is the proud owner of a shiny new (refurb’d) iMac. We talk about that, as well as the recent closure of MacSuperstore here in San Luis Obispo. We revisit a Hyper Nonsense holiday tradition (choo choo!) and discover that, not only is there a Peppermint Choo Choo, but there’s also a Peppermint Engineer. We contemplate a moral conundrum in which I buy a guy a bus pass. We go over some long overdue listener feedback, and then we finish out the show with our thoughts on the movie Rogue One. (Warning: Spoilers.)
We’re 5K-ing it! In this episode, we talked about my new computer, then we got an update on Jen’s health situation. We’re running an exciting campaign to get all of our listeners to #UnsubIn16! We decided to talk about the presidential election and all of the insanity surrounding it. We read some listener feedback and launched a new segment called Twitter Callouts! Then, we finished the show with an article about which American state has the most virgins.
We’re sick, allergic, broken, in mental, emotional and physical pain… And we’re back for another exciting episode! We talked about our recent health problems, including allergic reactions, bad backs and more! We covered our Thanksgiving “already together.” We went over a little bit of listener feedback and (finally) picked a winner in our theme song contest. Then, we finished out the show with a little bit of Star Wars-related news.
October’s been a weird and busy month. But we’re back with our latest episode! We talked about our big studio move (the main reason we haven’t done a show in a few weeks). Then, we covered my recent computer issues and explained why I’m now using an antiquated Mac Mini. I told the story of a guy who was giving a real-life Yelp review of the local Ross store. (Spoiler: It includes a lot of swearing!) We went over some listener feedback and then we finished out the show with some hilariously bad retro sex-ed advice.
We’re back! And we hate everything. Well, not really. Mostly just our theme song, our studio and the problems caused by our audio equip. During this show, we gave an update on Jen’s broken (but now fixed) iMac. We talked about our experience at this year’s California Mid State Fair, including a concert by the world’s tiniest Kiss tribute band. We had a bit of a podcasting midlife crisis and then we finished out the show with a news item about David Letterman and Donald Trump.
Actual weather. We got it. Or at least, we had it ’cause it’s humid in the studio today! During this episode, we talked about my attempt to chase the remnants of Hurricane Dolores as the storm blew thru the central coast. We talked about my recent birthday celebration as well as our recent anniversary “celebration.” Then we covered Jen’s broken iMac and how we’re trying to use social media to get Apple to fix it. We responded to some listener feedback and then we finished up the show with a news article about electricity-generating water pipes.
We’re snuggin’ it on this, the latest episode of Hyper Nonsense! We recount what we did during Christmas and how we got an Apple TV and Jen got a “new” computer. We cover our trip to Santa Barbara for our bankruptcy hearing. We talk about what we did on New Year’s Eve and we finish up the show by responding to some listener feedback.
It’s hot! So hot we had to abandon our usual recording studio for the (almost) comfortable confines of another room that had some leftover A-C in the air. It’s been an interesting (i.e. frustrating) week for us in terms of technology. But the good news is that Jen has room again on her MacBook Air hard drive! Apple dropped an iOS update and broke everything. The weirdness with fraudulent activity on our bank account continues. This time in the form of an unexpected credit. Also, Bluetooth pairing has become the most complicated thing computers do now. We read an iTunes review and then that was pretty much it.
