Squeaking in just barely by the end of the month, we’re back! It’s time for a new episode of Hyper Nonsense. With a special guest! All the way from London, England. It’s Rowley from the DarkCompass podcast! During the show, we reminisced about the ye olde days of podcasting yore. We learned how Rowley sources music for his heavy metal-focused podcast. We took the opportunity to ask our non-American guest what the people of the UK think of current events in America (Trump!). Rowley then gave us an education on the nature of Brexit in the UK, and what that may mean for the future. Finally, we wrapped up the show with news items about flamethrower weed abatement (spoiler: the house gets burned down) and the latest trend in fight clubs: Chuck E. Cheese’s.
We’re going caffeine-free! Well, one of us is. And it’s making life… interesting. We cover our trip to BlizzCon 2014, where we attended the World of Podcasts event, met lots of cool people, attended Diablo panels and more. Jen even got to be part of the Tristram’s Got Talent contest, where she got to show off her voice-acting chops for some of the voice actors from the Diablo III video game. We’ve also got an update on the bank-fraud shenanigans that have been ongoing for the last couple months.
We’ve done it! Yes, it’s true. We’ve successfully doubled the number of episodes we’ve produced so far. In honor of this milestone, we’ve decided to end the show. Just kidding! How could we quit now? We’ve got listeners leaving us comments, tweets, even calling us at home in the middle of the night! We’ve got new audio gear and we’re happy to tell you about it, even if we do have “more money than sense” in buying all of this stuff. We also discovered that the Australian prime minister has apparently been listening to our pods for years. Star Wars references! We got those, too. And daring helicopter-based escapes from Canadian prisons.
