New Year

hn0027 artworkWe’re snuggin’ it on this, the latest episode of Hyper Nonsense! We recount what we did during Christmas and how we got an Apple TV and Jen got a “new” computer. We cover our trip to Santa Barbara for our bankruptcy hearing. We talk about what we did on New Year’s Eve and we finish up the show by responding to some listener feedback.

Not a courthouse:

  • Live troubleshooting with Bossjock Studio. We got that.
  • You can’t activate all Apple TV channels unless you’re already subscribed to pay TV.
  • We can now watch a live news stream from the UK on our TV but no American live news streams.
  • The dismantling of pay TV is coming!
  • We now have two nearly identical iMacs.
  • There’s not a lot of pregame involved in bankruptcy hearings.
  • Santa Barbara. It’s a wealthy kinda place.
  • Anyone who listens to our show is family. So, share your various TV accounts with us because family sharing.

  1. Every time you guys mention “Santa Barbra”, I’m reminded of one of my favorite shows “Psych” if you haven’t seen it, I recommend it! We’ve got the Apple TV and Chromecast, but I hate that I can’t play .avi files on it. These are arguably the top two streaming TV gizmos, but they don’t support the most common video file? Laaaammmme. Anyhoo… Let me come back on your show some time!

    Matt.

    • If you covert those AVI’s to mp4’s, you can add them to a computer running iTunes and stream them to an Apple TV. And we will have you back on, Matt. Perhaps after you’ve completed your 365-song project best-of album.

  2. Congrats on the bankruptcy! I guess. Somehow that just doesn’t sound right. However, congrats on getting rid of that anchor of debt.

We just passed through Santa Barbara a couple days before you on the 27th. My observations on the town, in addition to yours about the money, is that the average height of the ladies seems to be 5’10”. Talli was starting to feel vertically challenged by the time we left. I’m not sure what’s in the water there, but my guess is that it’s some kind of growth hormone.
