This is a great show. Ive talked about my digital tv/radio life on my show already, to be honest everything you guys have said will come to pass.
Hey, I work for a small media company and they are moving digital faster than anyone else, even archiving is getting digitised for internet and digital broadcast use.

Since I was on the show this week I don’t really have anything to say. My life is going to be so empty this week :(

However I do have a couple of things. Having now seen the Ouroboros album cover it looks more like a flying turd than an ouroboros.

And Jacob, I am definitely in the Pepsi half of the cola divide, it just happened that Coke was what was to hand.

    Loved the show!

I know how you feel Colin, being up and all hours through the night, however my daughter doesn’t shit all over the floor. LOL!

Australia’s unemployment rate has remained rather steady over the passed decade or so. Current unemployment rate is steady at 4.2% http://www.abs.gov.au/AUSSTATS/abs@.nsf/mf/6202.0 However everytime I listen to the news, I hear that more and more Americans have lost their jobs. We have superannuation here. Our money is with a superannuation fund and they invest it on your behalf. The good super funds will retain most of your money invested during bad times.

The Dow Jones had the single biggest drop EVER in the history of the US Stock Exchange.

IMHO the bail out is a crock. It is short time fix. It is using US taxpayers money to bail out bad banks and bad lending institutions. It may or may not deal with the short term situation, but it solves nothing. The bill also retained limits on “golden parachute” severance payments to disgraced Wall Street executives. How is it that these people who have made very bad financial decisions get bailed out? The other thing is that there should be no Sub-Prime Mortgage market. We have stupid golden parachutes here in corporate Australia too. Basically when these peoples are signed up, they generally have the potential to make the company and shareholders are great deal of money, hence why these golden handshakes are in the contract. It is still insane the amount of money that is out there and what these individuals stand to gain, even with they stuff up!

I’m with Shawno and Colin, leave your hair the same Jen! Plllleeeeaasssseeee!

This week’s episode highlights perfectly what I was banging on about at the Round Table last weekend. While the show is still Hyper Nonsense with Shawno and Jen, it was a noticeably different one to last week’s, the week before, the week before that and so on. Not that this is a bad thing, of course! I did enjoy the show but for different reasons than other weeks.

So where have I listened to HN?

I’ve listened in bed (like I did with this episode), at my computer, in the meal room at work, on various trains, in the car, at Westiefield and probably more places than that.

As for Coke V Pepsi, I used to love Coke. 11 years ago I had glandular fever for the first time and then for weeks afterwards, I could not stand the taste of Coke and could only drink it with alcohol. I prefer Pepsi but I can’t always get it so if I can’t I’ll drink Coke. I do notice that I get a greater caffeine jolt from Coke because I do not drink it as much. I do need Pepsi or other caffeine to get through the day, though. I can feel crap in the afternoon and then I think “have I had a Pepsi today?” and the answer is usually no.

We don’t have the Pepsi varieties Shawno mentioned above. We have standard Pepsi then the others that I don’t care about like Max and Diet. We have Vanilla Coke, though. I choose not to drink that.

Giving everybody $250.000 sounds like a good idea, but it’s not gonna help the economy. The economy isn’t about trading goods, it’s about trading money. And to trade money you need collateral. In a healthy economy companies like Freddie Mac have collateral, but they screwed things up, the financial market loses their trust, they can’t get loans or invest in anything and Joe Sixpack ends up paying huge interest on his mortgage, the whole thing goes into a big downwards spiral. If the government buys Freddie Mac they have collateral again, after all the government has gold, federal reserves and they get money from taxes, and in my case, parking tickets. And if Freddie is back on his feat again the government can sell Freddie, maybe with a profit. And that’s not even socialism, like most Republicans think.

There are free downloads on Myspace, all you have to do is get the XML playlist. (but don’t tell anyone)

file2HD can also be helpful when trying to download tracks from MySpace.

I’ve got nothing against Coke but I do prefer Pepsi. I have had a few 7-Ups this week, though. Not sure what that’s all about.

I love Cooper, “I just want to say, Happy Birthday.”

Wait, this is the Mad Men Forum right? Yes, I am making it my own personal Mad Men forum. This is what I do.

  13. Shawno said:

At first, I thought Diana was talking about our own Paul Roberts. And I was thinking, “How does Diana know that Paul has a hipster beard? No one’s ever seen a photo of Paul.” But of course… “Mad Men!” Was there a new episode tonight?

  14. DianaCecelia said:

Yep! And next week Don and Pete are going to Los Angeles on a business trip to hang out with astronauts and fight crime! That last part may not be true.
