Since I started using Peter’s Custom Anti-Spam plugin for my gout, I’ve been getting around a whole lot better. I feel like I’m 65 again!

Whenever I feel the gout coming on, I reach for my Peter’s!

But if Peter’s is so good at catching spam, why does it keep letting Dave Calderbank get through?

That concerns me.

Ken, we're using Peter's Custom Anti-Spam plugin for WordPress. Since it was installed, the site has seen virtually no spam. Unfortunately, it doesn't protect against trackback spam. But using the Akismet plugin along with a robust list of moderated keywords in the WordPress control panel, trackback spams can be controlled. That methodology is what caused your comment to be held for moderation, since you included a couple of popular drug names.

I like the Hyper Nonsense custom captcha code. It’s easy to read.

I’m wondering if it’s a WordPress plugin.

I’ve found, in my blog at least, that captcha codes don’t work, anyway. For the comment spammer robots (like Colin G, Orange Tim and the viagra-cialis guy), captcha codes don’t even pose a speed bump.

That’s why I’ve activated comment approval on my blog. It’s because the captcha code doesn’t work.

I find it difficult to maintain my interest in the show when you’re not talking about me.

Nevertheless, in the face of relentless attacks by comment spammers, I feel compelled to protect my position on the Feedback Leaderboard.

In future irrelevant posts, I will discuss the custom captcha code on hypernonsense, which i find generally to be more entertaining than most of the discussions which it ostensibly protects.
