Some will even type “4″ for for. When you give them their rough drafts back some don’t know what the big deal is, it’s the evolution of language (that’s their argument). I tell them that in my class Darwin used proper English and they need to as well.

My co-host had a theory that it started in IRC a few years ago where vowels were upper case and the other letters were lower case. But in my case, Erk would still be Erk anyway so what’s the use of that for me? Sure it works in drUE’s case, though!

Actually, I have no idea. My other guess is because they are illiterate. Or, maybe this generation grew up online, like we grew up watching tv, and they think that “netspeak” is how English is supposed to appear

Oh! Or, they could be doing that so their parents can’t read what they are writing. I dunno.

I used to have a theory when I lived in Montana. There weren’t any gangs in Montana, because THEY CAN HIT A TARGET. There was no drive bys. It was all sharp shooters. You can’t live in the state without being able to fire a BB up a knat’s ass at 500 yards.

Although they had more than their share of criminal psychos. There was a girl in the town down the road whose whole family was killed because she beat the hell out of an opposing basketball team in High School.

we have a show just like paris hiltons BFF thing. but instead its the Prime ministers obese daughter looking for a new chef. its a big hit here and I have most of the action figures from the show.
