Gayest movie of all time? I nominate "Batman and Robin." The whole thing comes across as less of a crimefighting adventure and more of an elaborate drag show. And come on, nipples on Clooney and O'Donnell's batsuits? How come they didn't put 'em on Alicia Silverstone's? Huh? Huh?

Also, since the lady's statue o'Jesus was outside, I'm guessing her own wieners had peed upon it at least a time or two. Knowing he'd be right back outside if Wiener Lady had paid the ransom, what are the odds He rose and got the hell out of there? ft

re: beefcake in Top Gun...

There's a theory that the whole movie is about Maverick coming to terms with his homosexuality.

I personally think Rocky III is the gayest movie of all time, but there's definitely some good arguments there for Top Gun.

I guess Circuity City's got a deal going where if you order something online for in-store pickup, they guarantee to have it ready in 24 minutes or else they give you a $24.00 gift card.

And it'd be great if there were a grocery delivery service here. I haven't been able to find one. Back in Illinois, there was a service called Peapod which did that and we used it a few times.

Talking of online purchasing.
I needed to pick up the no.1 single for my daughters birthday - we do this each year for all three - buy the no.1 single, then stash it away for their 18th birthday as a "musical history" if you will of their childhood.
Anyway - HMV is a 1.60p ($3) bus ride to the shop and back, the single costing £1.99 ($3.60).
I ordered it online, and I'm having the £1.99 item delivered free to my door.
It will arrive tomorrow.
There are quite a few places here in the uk where you can check stock and reserve/buy online. Argos, a chain catalogue store being one. Tescos, a big foodstore chain here does online ordering and delivery - it's not free though cost an extra £5. Very handy if you are not mobile.

Shawno: We recently tried something out that we totally dug. We needed to buy a piece of software but didn't want to drive around to Bestbuy or Circuit City to see if they had it in stock. So we went on Bestbuy.com and bought it through them with the request to pick it up at the store here in SLO. Within an hour I had an email telling me that it was in stock and ready to pick up. I will be using this feature a lot more in the future. This is different than the service that Barnes and Noble offers because they actually CHECKED the inventory at the local store before shipping it from a warehouse. I also saved money buy purchasing it online rather than the shelf price.

Had a great conversation with Jen at her work. Jen, I have an idea. When Shawno starts going on a rant, instead of sitting back and rolling your eyes give him a Haiku as a response. I'd love to hear what you come up with.

Rowley: Housewives. American housewives are his #1 market over here.

James Blunt was voted the most annoying uk musician in 2007 - he had two top 5 albums last year. If people find his voice so annoying (myself included), it makes me wonder who's buying the songs!
