Ustream.tv has a Recorded menu option, did they record something?

    sorry i was asleep. :(

I just checked the ustream account, Paul. Looks like you have to manually activate the recording feature, and I didn’t do that, because I thought our equipment was taking care of that. I will be doing that in the future for backup purposes, though.

HN 100 should have been a happy historic event, like D-Day, the first moon landing, the end of the Vietnam war and the death of John Denver. But you guys fucked it up and turned it into the The Hindenburg disaster. Thanks a lot, morons. :)

have any of you elite HN100 watchers checked your browser cache for the ustream flash file.

This is totally something I would do.

Gawd, how depressing. Same thing happened to me back in my SLOPod days. I went to Downtown Brew and spent about $100 on booze to get an interview with local band AFRO. They had incredible music, great and edgy things to say, and a real stage presence that it took quite some time for a hostile geek like me to bring out. Then, about nine-tenths of the way through the interview, the batteries in my portable recording rig went poof, and the recorder saved the interview WAV as a file of zero length…

And to think, that would have been the final SLOPod episode. Instead, I had to end it with the Johnny Starlings…. ft

Is that band AFRO still around, I wonder? And that sucks that you lost that recording. At least a few people got to hear our show on the live feed.

And you know, I’m still baffled as to how channel one (my microphone) got record-enabled, as it never is set that way when we record. (Only channel six should’ve been record-enabled, the stereo sum track.) If channel one hadn’t been record-enabled, the recording would have never started, and that would’ve made it clear that something was wrong. Oh, well. I think we may just tap a line-out on the mixer and send that into the iRiver from now on. Or, maybe not.

Total Firefly pilot episode rip-off. Get some new material. : )

Loved the show. The intro was a classic, Shawno. Chances of me ever getting to listen to a live broadcast is slim to never. I’m glad you’re going to continue to podcast those.

Just to clarify for now and forever: The shows will ALWAYS be available as podcasts. The live shows are just a way to change things up a bit. But it’d be stupid to switch to a “live-show only” format. And from now on, there will be backups running when we record the live shows so we won’t run into any more problems like we had with episode 100.

Yup, I’m late listening. The live show was really great. Too bad it got lost!

    I’m a little late.

Has the live show started yet?
