Episode 083 kicks off with a discussion about a home improvement project. Then we provide an update to Jen’s dental adventures (vicodin!). The news over here is slightly different from what you guys see on TV, the Dutch media reports stuff, they don’t take sides like Fox does. So you might be glad to hear that the U.S. didn’t feed the Iranians grenades for breakfast, yet.
It’s true that Bush caused a lot of damage to the U.S. public relations department, but it looks like he’s repairing it by using his veto on everything now that the democrats have a majority in the senate. (or whatever it’s called, i forget) People here still think Bush is a moron, but now that he acts like a Roman emperor it’s much more obvious that he and his posse are the main cause of everything that’s going on in Iraq and Afghanistan, not the American people.
If pictures of Lilly by the Who is about jerking off, do you think Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams is about oral sex?

Jen has such a sexy voice when she’s loaded on prescription painkillers!

Why, thank you, Rowley.

Jen, is Vicoden really as addictive as people say? I never took it ’cause it’s illegal here but in the hospital they had to shoot me up with morphine a few times and i kinda liked it.

hey you guys! It’s so weird hearing your voices again! And Shawn… I got the “truffle shuffle” referance.

Hey, Diana! Thanks for listening to our show. We miss hangin’ out with you here in SLO. It’s cool that you got the truffle shuffle reference, ’cause it’s pretty clear that SOMEBODY (who’ll go unnamed) didn’t. (The unnamed person happens to be my co-host, by the way…)

Diana!
How are things going out there? Good to hear from you again.
Let us know when you visit SLO, and we will all go to karaoke and have fun.
Oh, and I eventually figured out the “truffle shuffle” reference.
Movie stuff doesn’t stick in my head as well as book stuff, I guess.

i had to look up “truffle shuffle” and was sadly disappointed, it’s no cupcake party!

Shawno’s on fire with a political furor that I never associated with Hyper Nunsense!
Awesome!
But I’m listening to this episode some five months after its original publication. What happened to Revolutionary Shawno? Sadly, he’s been usurped by the more familiar Pop Culture Shawno.
Elections are boring, anyway. Let’s see what’s on The Wire this weekend!

I’m all about “Mad Men” now, Ken. You’d know that if you weren’t listening to five-month old episodes.
