Just listened to 77 and 78. Really enjoyed them both. I liked hearing the stories Mall of America and I'm envious you were able to attend a Gay Buddhist wedding. How many people get to do that? Honestly!

Shawno, I love the idea about the Polar Bears. It's like a "Bum Fights Goes Primal" or something. The winner gets a nice juicy Cod.

Jen, I'm sorry I wasn't available to see all the HP7 festivities at the local bookseller. I had the fortune of helping out the next day and I am stunned at how many people in this sleepy mid-sized town are geeks for Harry Potter. I haven't read a single book but I've seen the films and I know enough to know that I don't need to read the series to fill in any blanks. I can just ask any random person a question and I'm sure they wax poetic about how the films messed something up and why Rowling is the Pagan Godess of Prose or something like that. lol.

Look forward to the next show. I'm in town for about a week. If Karaoke is on the menu gimme a hollar.

Jen, as far as I'm concerned, everyone else is entitled to a fair profit, and I'm entitled to an obscene one! That's my capitalism.

And Hyper Nonsense is one crazy podcast!

Ken,

Perhaps I'm channeling the ghost of John Lennon at that point in the podcast.

What I meant was that we are all one as in "one big family of humans". If you want to set aside all spiritual implications of that statement, fine. Let's set that part aside, for now.

We are also all connected in a global economy. So, one small group being greedy raises the price of gas for us all.

We are all connected socially. So, the kid from the bad neighborhood who watches the drug dealers make more money than his parents can in their wage slave jobs chooses that path. And then the next generation of kids watch him, and the violence is passed down as an acceptable choice of how to make a life. There are many more examples of this sort of thing.

We are all connected environmentally, sharing one planet. So, when large companies choose to polute water and air, we all get sick from it.

In short, that's what I meant.

It's the same reasoning that makes me angry that so many people in a country as wealthy as the United States can't afford to see a doctor or dentist when they need to.

Mrs. John Lennon sez:

"I'm sick of people looking at it all as 'me and mine' and not as 'us and we', 'cause we're all one. Ya know?"

We're all one what?

Thanks for playing The Ballad Of Morris The Cat on this week's show, Shawno and Jen.

Once again, you've inspired another edition of the Podcast Roundup.

Today, we take on Harry Potter!
