Episode 71 kicks off with a happy song about sodomy. Then we start a new segment called “Achievements In Listening,” we read some fan mail and try to make our new announcer sound less “creepy.” Next, we compare Tony Blair’s French to George W. Bush’s Spanish. Then we round out the show with a new installment of “As The Type Moves.”

Hey! Finally! I can leave a comment. Everytime I’ve tried to leave one I get a database connection error. The site has also been really slow. Thought I’d let you know in case you need to get in touch with your web host.
Bush doesn’t want to put on a good face for anyone foreign. That’s un-American. He’s just like all of the bigots around me, they hate anything foreign, think it’s weird and they make fun of any foreign language. That’s exactly what he was doing. To think, Clinton was tried for impeachment for a blowjob. Christ.
The new show format is great. Really enjoyed this one.
Happy early birthday, Jenn!
Sorry you had trouble leaving your comment, Andy. WordPress didn’t e-mail me about it, either. This kinda stuff worries me. Hopefully, it’s just a temporary thing.
I’m just really glad it posted. I kept getting put into the SPAM bin on Rebecca Nay & Christiaan Huygen’s sites. It also happened on my own site! I think it’s happening on Madge’s site to! Akismet doesn’t like me!
Oh and I just now remembered. I’m not so crazy about the sodomy thing. I have to agree with Jenn on this one.
I had the same problem with Akismet flagging valid comments as spam. I found that after I de-spammed them, Akismet eventually figured out what to do. The error you had earlier was probably just a temporary thing on the server side. Also, I seem to be getting the comment notification e-mails again. Hopefully, everything’s back to normal now.
Send you an email about the comments not working. It was in French so you probably thought is was about a mariachi band, but i did tell ya.
Shawno - best way to start to a webcast EVAH! I left school yesterday humming that little ditty to myself. Thanks for the laughs. BTW - the transitions to the announcer voice were mush smoother this time around. Nice editing. Jen, I love how your wish list is set up to Amazon.com instead of another major online bookselling competitor *wink*.
Teacher Marc,
I’m mad at another major online bookselling competitor right now, so forget them!
My spelling/grammar was atrocious on my last post. I really should proofread.
Great show, once again. And yes, I believe the lowered ‘Voice of Death’ version sounds far less creepy than the real me.
If you need more songs on the sodomy/cowboy topic, check out Milos Forman’s DVD version of ‘Hair,’ which features an early-in-her-career Beverly D’Angelo being serenaded in Central Park by a song of the same name. On the other hand, if it’s merely the WIld West angle you’re craving, check out the Rev. Horton Heat’s ‘Cowboy Love.’ Both are fairly toe-tappable….
